Let's dive right into the world of iPad note-taking apps with the ever-popular Apple Notes. I then pulled together the seven best note-taking apps for the iPad, so you can enjoy the benefits of writing by hand and digital organization without any compromise. To help you out I downloaded as many iPad note taking apps and used them to take handwritten and digital notes on my iPad pro with my apple pencil. With lots of note taking apps available on the App Store, it can be challenging to find the best note-taking app for iPad that suits your needs. While typing is faster notes created in this way tend to lead to les understanding and more chance of just transcribing rather than thoughtful note taking. This is because with pen and paper, handwriting is slower, but it gives your mind more time to absorb what you’re writing. Research suggests that taking notes by hand is better than using a laptop. While there’s no “correct” way to write your notes, one of the things you’ll have to decide early on is whether you should handwrite or type them. That's exactly what iPad note-taking apps can do for you! Given the free background paper templates and clip art, Noteshelf has added value in terms of presets, making it a good choice for those that want drawings, but don’t want to draw everything on an iPad themselves.Imagine transforming your iPad into a digital notepad that captures the essence of writing on paper while offering the convenience of digital organization. Another bonus is the large clip art library included in the price. The app also boasts an exclusive 'Fluid writing' feature that smooths text without overly distorting the natural look. This app supports over 60 languages, giving it a huge advantage for those that wish to make notes in a language other than English or the commonly supported European languages. Currently priced at $9.99, it offers the most paper templates of any of the note-taking apps highlighted here and all included in the initial price. That makes sense considering Notability has been around longer with more time to refine its workflow.Ī third option is Noteshelf. When it comes to drawing features GoodNotes ranks well, but most tasks can be completed faster and easier with Notability. Drawing tools are more advanced in GoodNotes allowing selection, rotation and sizing. GoodNotes also has a more thorough PDF export option, even allowing editable annotations. A great way to review notes afterward.įor those that often need to search through written notes, GoodNotes features one of the best search interfaces, not only showing matching results, but categorizing them by document type and date. This means selecting a portion of a note will play the associated audio. If taking notes while listening to someone speaking, Notability can record the audio and sync the notes to the audio. Notability offers extra options as in-app purchases, but most of the power is included with the initial purchase, currently $9.99, with no subscription needed for ongoing use. In almost every way, it exceeds the features of Apple Notes. Notability syncs to iCloud, of course, but can also sync to Dropbox, Google Drive, and other online storage providers. Notability also offers better image handling, with full control of sizing and even allows cropping imported images. This means the user can zoom in and add fine detail with no loss of resolution. One of the nicest things about Notability is that drawings are recorded in vector format. The number one note-taking app on the App Store is Notability and it surpasses Apple's Notes in several respects. None of the apps mentioned below require subscriptions. Subscription software is on the rise, but reviews made it clear that the pricing strategy is not appreciated by most. In order to compete with the default Notes app that comes pre-installed, something special has to be offered. Related: Best Drawing Apps For Apple Pencil & iPad

Deadlock felt very much like someone had said "Let's take the elements from the other popular games of the day and try to combine them into a single game." So there are elements of RTS, none of which are as good as the RTS elements of contemporaneous games like Command and Conquer or Warcraft. It was that the game featured elements of other games that had been done better in those other games. Whenever something would happen worth noticing, your advisor would pop up and, in this deep, resonant, evil voice say: "There has been.a change." I liked that so much I made a. I forget their name, but they were the mysterious race with the deep, sonorous voice. The only thing about this game that I really, really liked was the voice work done for one of the alien races. Total Entertainment Network (TEN) multiplay platform.Replay (GT / Infogrames / Atari) releases. The player wins by fulfilling one of the victory conditions, for example remaining the last living race on the planet, or reaching a set number of city centres first. The game also has a spying mechanic that spies can use to steal technologies. Battles are separately animated - after being initiated players have no control over them. The battle begins after the player places their units in a foreign land. The residents' satisfaction is important - dissatisfied citizens (taxes are too high) protest and don't work. Inventions made in the latter provide new units, new materials and better buildings (for example a hydroponic farm is far better than a normal farm). Players can expand their cities by erecting residential buildings, farms, factories, mines and research centres. To colonize a new area, the player must build a colonizer. Each area is home to one of the cities that need to be constructed. The planet's surface is divided into smaller areas. They spend turns building, expanding, and ultimately warring. The game has seven different races with special abilities, for example the Maugs are great scientists, ChCh-T have the highest birth rate etc. Players take the roles of aliens deadlocked on a planet surface. Deadlock: Planetary Conquest is a 2D turn-based 4X strategy. I assume as well you can delete the folder "plugin32" and the files " vdub.exe", " VirtualDub.exe" and "VirtualDub.vdi".īut what about additional 32bit plugins? The majority of those plugins is written for 32bit Windows. For 32bit Windows I assume you can delete the folder "plugins64" and the files "vdub64.exe", "VeeDub64.exe"and "VeeDub64.vdi". These are the files and folder of VirtualDub FilterMOD. It has all the features of the original VirtualDub, plus support for high bit-depth (i.e., deep color). The latest fork is called VirtualDub2 (formerly VirtualDub FilterMod). In the case of VirtualDub FilterMOD it's not 100% clear for me what what is: VirtualDub has spawned several forks, including VirtualDubMod and Nandub. The second package differs from the first one by containing only the folder "Program Files Portable (x86)" Everything that runs only on 64bit Windows comes into the first folder. The first package is meant for 64bit Windows and the software will be stored into the folders "Program Files Portable (圆4)" and "Program Files Portable (x86)". Of all the misleading or inaccurate pieces of information that the nature of YouTube's recommendation system can spread, this is a pretty benign one. It's a fact that is irrelevant to the goals of a YouTube video title, to inform YouTube's system, and to inform the average potential viewer, what kind of video this is. That it doesn't accurately describe the precise HP level of the player is of course a fact. However, in reality, with YouTube's systems working how they do, the most accurate and truthful thing to put in the title of an 13hp iron PK video actually is "10HP", because that accurately describes - to both the viewer and to YouTube - what the content of the video is, and gives an accurate idea of whether the viewer will enjoy it if they click on the video based on that title. When you're promoting (setting the title for) a low HP iron PvP video on YouTube, the keyword used, by YouTube and by viewers, to describe that content is "10HP" - putting "13HP" in the title may technically be more "truthful". I'm sure most of them don't like it either, but it's not their choice. YouTube creators are effectively required to use these tactics as a result of how YouTube's recommendation system works. But do you dislike every video with a clickbait, overly sensational, or slightly misleading title? For more information about account bans, click here. Feel like sharing? Next to the tasting room was another building that contained the barrel room and event space, which I was hoping to see on my next visit, as I learned they have special summer concerts and events such as weddings. (Preferably on a warm summer afternoon.) You just have to keep going back indoors to get your glass filled. We came in mid-afternoon on a holiday weekend so it filled up pretty fast and the weather outside was rather cold, but there was plenty of lovely garden space and patio areas to walk around as you sipped your wine. The other room next door had a wine showcase and counter with a few more comfy chairs. The main room has a wine tasting counter with a sofas and chairs in the main area with a fireplace as well as two main tasting tables for groups. The crew really made us feel at home in their tasting room, which is actually two rooms in what felt like what was a more rustic homey setting, like a place you can kick back and curl up by the fire. It was the perfect way to end our tasting. The Black Muscat was also another highlight as I've never had a Muscat with that deep of color and flavor of cherries and strawberries. I really loved the La Salette wine at Vezer, which is a unique combination of wines, petite sirah and zinfandel, and at 90 dollars a bottle was a real treat, and it's a wine that deliberately ages well, so expect me to pick that one in the near future. Who knew this even existed? But I loved them as well as the salty almonds that came with them. What kept the flavors of each of the wines so strong was we were treated to specialty crackers that cleansed your palette in between wine sips. The tastings included the one white the 2014 Estate Verdelho, as well as the 2013 Cabernet Franc, 2013 Estate Zinfandel, 2011 La Salette, and the 2012 Estate Black Muscat- Franci. They seem to specialize in reds at Vezer, as five of our pours for our tasting were all lovely deep colored reds. You can't go wrong with a flavor profile like that. Vezer's wines are all aromatic, sweet and bold, with a combination of flavors of from fruits such as berries, cranberries, bing cherries and strawberries. I had only peripherally heard of this region before, but today my friends and I were given a front seat introduction to three of the wineries along the Suisun Valley Road exit off of Interstate 80. It's easy to get them confused, as this one is called the Mankas Corner Tasting Room because it's literally on the corner of Mankas Corner Road, the other is called the Blue Victorian (home to said blue house) and it's just up the street along Suisun Valley Road. This is one of two tasting rooms in the valley owned by Vezer that the public can come to try their wines. A true definition of what a staycation is supposed to be all about. Many people don't even know that this region of wine growing even exists so it's nice to discover hidden gems in the Bay Area. Vezer Family Vineyard is at the epicenter of the wine revolution going on right now in the heart of the Suisun Valley in Solano County. Sunday I celebrated birthdays and Mother’s day with my family and today it is dark, miserable and chucking it down with rain.Certain words in the English language represent animal sounds: the noises and vocalizations of particular animals, especially noises used by animals for communication. Thursday we were at a meeting, but on Friday I was back alone in the woods once again, and then it happened, so close and so loud, it did sound like a bit of an odd cow noise, but having investigated online, it was most definately the sound of a Stag. In moments Stuart was off into the darkness searching for the glinting eyes of this exquisite animal, but he was hiding well and not to be found. A Cerf is a Stag, and several times during the last 18 months or so they have been seen around the Village. I had told Stuart about the cow noise, that was not really a cow sound, and just got a strange look that told me that perhaps I was hearing things, crazy wife with a wonderful imagination ?!!!!! But now, with a look of sheer excitement on his face, he looked and said, “that is not a cow it is a cerf”. As dusk turned into the darkness of night, there it was again, loud, clear and so close, a deep loud & throaty bellowing. It is impossible to use the leaf blower at the moment, as it is so wet. Stuart joined me late on Wednesday and we worked on into the dark, picking up the heavy soggy piles of leaves I had raked. The same thing happened on tuesday & wednesday too. I stood and listened for a while, thinking is this animal watching me trying to see it, laughing at me ?! I went back to where I was working, picked up my rake and went back to work, but I was listening and watching all of the time. As I heard it again I laid down my rake to take a look around, scanning where I thought the noise to be, but nothing. As I stood motionlessly glued to the spot, waiting to hear rustling within the trees, so it called again, it was so loud !!! The park once again fell into silence, the birds were singing, but I had blocked them out to listen to the noise I did not recognise & had never heard before. Was it a sick cow I wondered, and what on earth was it doing in the park. There it was again, so close, it sounded like a cow, but not a cow. The sound was deep and loud and was incredibly close, instantly breaking into my thoughts taking all of my attention. This week between rainbows, rain and sunshine I have been raking up the thick layer of damp heavy leaves along the roads, planning the weeks ahead, when this familiar noise broke my reverie.
